6. He'll Bring Back The Hard Sci-Fi Of Future Past...
The introduction of Cable surely means that the villain of Deadpool 2 will be completely different to the first. You dont bring in a time-travelling cyborg that can control computers with his mind just to hunt down the a-hole that kidnapped your girlfriend. No, you team up with Cable when there's a serious sci-fi menace in town. Following this trail of logic, it seems likely that the addition of Cable into Deadpools sequel will drag The Merc With The Mouth away from personal vendettas against British creeps and towards a tough mission to bring down a big sci-fi threat. This would give Wade Wilson a complete new set of circumstances to verbally ridicule, and allow the X-Men franchise to revisit a dark, sci-fi tone like that of Days Of Future Past. This could entail another dystopian future dominated by a powerful villain, or perhaps an immensely dangerous technological terror in the modern day (that Cable has returned from the future to bring down). Either way, Deadpool would be reluctant to join Cable's crusade, but could surely be persuaded via cash and/or chimichangas. This could be a great recipe for action, character drama and comedy.
