Deadpool 2: 10 Things That Make No Sense
1. The Essex House's Existence
The Essex House for Mutant Rehabilitation is officially an orphanage for lost or wayward mutant children, but that's merely a front for torturing and abusing them.
This organisation plays a key role in the story since its methods of 'rehabilitation' are what tips Russell over the edge, but how can an institution like this even exist in the same universe as the X-Men? Since it operates publically, surely Professor X and his colleagues would have taken an interest in it before now.
No doubt Charles Xavier would make sure Essex House's operations are above board, and it doesn't take somebody with his brain power to see that they're not.
In short, the X-Men should have shut down the Essex House long before Deadpool and co arrived on the scene to investigate the incident involving Russell.
