As he's exploring the X-Mansion grumpily, Wade hijacks Professor X's immediately recognisable wheelchair.

And just as he's complaining about the studio skimping on the costs of making Deadpool movies by only allowing low-grade cameos and keeping the best characters unavailable, the film's first huge surprise happens.

In one of the rooms Deadpool passes, we see Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Scott Summers (Tye Sheridan) and Hank McCoy/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) seemingly giving a lesson while Deadpool. The door is shut quickly and Deadpool never sees them.

During his tirade, Deadpool asks why he can't even have a lame X-Man like "the one with the pigeon wings" - he's clearly referring to Angel/Archangel who Deadpool actually teamed up with (along with Wolverine, Fantomex and Psylocke) for one of the iterations of X-Force.

Clearly, he's not a fan in this universe.
