Deadpool 2: 102 Easter Eggs, Gags & References Explained

72. Cerebro

During the X-Mansion sequence, we get to see Wade messing around with the version of Cerebro that was used in the first X-Men movie trilogy. He pretends it helps him see the future and when Colossus demands to know how, he says: "I'll give you a clue, it's on my head and smells like Patrick Stewart."

71. Deadpool Skewers The X-Men

Xmen First Class

At one point when he's on the mission with Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead to the school, Wade refers to the X-Men as a "dated metaphor for racism in the '60s". Which is pretty much a spot-on take-down of the entire early history of the comics.

70. Beyonce - Lemonade

At another point in the mission, Deadpool channels the queen of pop music saying "In the words of Beyonce, please stop cheating on me." It's nonsense, but it's very funny all the same and references Beyonce's stellar hit album Lemonade, which was rumoured to be a response to an affair by her husband Jay-Z.

Well, that or a cleverly marketed fabrication designed to make as much money as possible from fictional drama. One of those two.
