Deadpool 2: 102 Easter Eggs, Gags & References Explained

36. The Bad X-Force

Deadpool's first X-Force team doesn't really go well and they're all killed in minutes, aside from Domino, who uses her luck powers to escape. She's in the comics too, obviously, but she's far more well-known than the other X-Force members.

The way they die actually mimics what happens in the comics when a brand new version of the team was introduced. In X-Force #116 almost all of the new characters were killed. That's also why Zeitgeist has the number 116 tattooed on the top of his arm.

Zeitgeist was one of the characters killed in that episode.

35. Brad Pitt's Cameo

Eventually, all of the X-Force are killed: Bedlam hits a bus, Shatterstar is shredded by a helicopter rotor and Zeitgeist falls into the back of a wood chipper and when Peter goes to help he vomits acid on him and melts him to death.

As for The Vanisher, he hits a power line and it turns out he was Brad Pitt all along, who appears for grand total of about 13 seconds. A truly great cameo.

34. Gerry Duggan Parkway

During the armoured convoy sequence, it is mentioned that the convoy is heading down Gerry Duggan Parkway, which is named in reference to acclaimed Deadpool writer Gerry Duggan.
