Deadpool 2: Every Major Character's Best Moment
2. Cable's "Racism"
Though Cable's treatment in the movie is pretty simplistic and perhaps a little less menacing than some were expecting, Josh Brolin nevertheless did a terrific job capturing the essence of the character.
The action beats speak for themselves, but the character's best moment? Accidentally shooting Black Tom Cassidy (Jack Kesy) in the head during the convoy fight and being deemed a racist by Deadpool for the rest of the movie.
From Deadpool shouting, "You killed Black Tom, you racist son of a b****!" to shaming Cable for asking Dopinder to turn his Indian music down, and in his dying words asking the time-traveler to "judge people not by the colour of their skin but the content of their character", this was a fantastic recurring gag that helped bring Cable down to Earth a little.
His incredulous. grumpy reactions to being deemed a racist were just the icing on the cake.
