11. Who Is Laird?

The single biggest question the short poses is who Laird is. When Deadpool is in the phone box, he makes a call asking to speak to Laird and then at the end explains that "he usually helps me put the suit on.”

That's not a reference to any costume department staff from the first film, so it feels like a bit of an in-joke we'll not know the meaning of until Reynolds himself explains. And given his penchant for messing around on Twitter, that's not likely to happen any time soon.

Some say it could be a reference to TMNT comic book creator Peter Laird, but that makes little sense unless this really is just an eclectic mess of pop culture references...
