Deadpool 3: 8 MCU Characters That Need To Appear
1. Spider-Man
Spider-Man in an R-rated movie on paper just doesn’t quite add up. Peter Parker is arguably the most universally loved superhero in the world, particularly by children, and so to thrust him into the world of 18+ would be a risky move. However, the rewards off the back of that risk would be absurd.
Deadpool and Spider-Man have shared the pages of a comic book many times over the years, even headlining their own series for some time, and a live-action meeting between them feels overdue.
You’ll struggle to find two Marvel characters more popular right now than Peter Parker and Wade Wilson, and their coming together would be just as wonderful as you’d imagine.
Just think of the quips, the back and forth, the meta-jokes about how many Peter Parkers there have been over the years. That’s without even mentioning the action and the effortless chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Tom Holland.
There is reportedly a stipulation in place at Marvel Studios, imposed by Sony, that Peter Parker isn’t allowed to curse on screen. That’s fine. He wouldn’t need to, as Deadpool would surely do enough for the both of them, and there’s likely nothing in the rules to stop Spidey from being near someone dropping more f-bombs than Disney has ever dared to drop before.
