Deadpool Early Screening - 5 Twitter Reactions You Have To See
2. The Critics Like It (Sort Of)
Bloggers and reviewers have frequently been invited to screenings like this one in the past, but it doesn't appear as if that was the case with Deadpool. As a result, the closest we got to a critic's reaction was from the Managing Editor of ComicBook.com. As both a fan and someone who obviously writes about these movies for a living, he's one person you would expect a balanced and honest opinion from, not just mindless praise. So, while it's far too early to tell if critics are going to embrace Deadpool, this is definitely a good sign. Press screenings will most likely take place in the next couple of weeks (it wouldn't be surprising if Fox now moves those up following these reactions in order to get as much positive buzz out there as possible), so we'll hear more then. Some fans might argue that reviews "don't matter", but those are going to be extremely important for Deadpool seeing as it squares off against Zoolander 2 at the North American box office. The fact it's been banned in China because of graphic violence has potentially already hurt it internationally, so the movie needs all the help it can get.
