Deadpool Movie: 5 Reasons To Be Excited
2. The People Love Deadpool... Like, Really
There's been overwhelming fan support for the last few years now, since the idea of a movie emerged and beforehand as well. One group of filmmakers actually created a successful online product (A Typical Tuesday) using the Deadpool character, which, despite its incredibly low-budget and very short length, should satisfy any long-term fans of the character's craving for a little bit of Deadpool action. As a group independently creating a tribute, this is right on the money (the speech card thing is priceless). http://youtu.be/oDpXu4j7ibMBelow is another really cool project that was developed by a talented animator with a real passion for shoving the Deadpool concept out there, in motion comic form. This one's a bit raw and more brutal (and in a sense more realistic) and faithful to the original character.
http://youtu.be/BSqyetYG4QI I think that these fitting videos showcase just how much fans want a Deadpool movie, and how well the dialogue and tone could be set. It's surely just a matter of time now. Intriguing questions that we can all ask from watching these are: Who will be Deadpool's antagonist in a big-time, big-screen, Reynolds-featuring movie? Will Wade Wilson feature alongside Deadpool? And what time period in Deadpool's extensive career will the movie focus on? There are without doubt lots of questions buzzing around for fans of the character, and who knows? Maybe the game will answer a few? Aside from that (and as a result of the game) Deadpool is now taking over social media and has his own official Facebook. The posts on there are written in character with some rather entertaining memes, quotes and things added in. It's cool to see the character getting so much love, and pleasing to see High Moon Studios (the game's developers) really pushing the marketing of the product so heavily.
