9. The King And Queen Of Arrendelle - Frozen

The King and Queen of Arrendelle were very hands on with their daughters but they were close to Anna and Elsa in different ways. They formed a bond with Anna because she was lonely, having just lost her sister who wanted to isolate herself from her sibling at the devastating impact that her powers can have, and to Elsa because they were the only ones who knew about her secret. Even though they were trying to do the best they could to keep both girls safe, they went the wrong way about it. Telling Elsa to 'conceal, don't feel' isn't the world's greatest advice; what human being is going to be able to always control their emotions, especially when they have a power whose strength is elevated based on their emotions? But despite their faults, they had their daughters' best interests at heart and it was sad to see them pass away on their journey.
