Disney Buys Fox: 8 Epic Storylines The MCU Can Now Adapt

1. Ultimates: Omniversal

Not to be confused with the other Ultimates comic (which inspired a great deal of the MCU's first phase), Al Ewing and Kenneth Rocafort's Ultimates series based around a team of cosmic Marvel good guys taking on Galactus is taylor-made for an MCU with the purple planet-eater as a threat - particularly with the line-up it boasts.

Featuring Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Spectrum (who could yet appear in next year's MCU prequel), Blue Marvel and America Chavez, the first volume in the series detailed the team's attempts to take down one of the oldest and gravest threats the cosmos has ever seen: Galactus. The character is more a force of nature than an out and out villain, so already there's an interesting ethical dilemma to discuss and it features some of the most interesting Marvel heroes going too.

Done right, a film inspired by this particular arc could be the centrepiece to a future MCU phase. The presences of Black Panther and Captain Marvel alone already present a major draw, and when you throw Galactus into the mix as well, an Ultimates film looks all the more appealing.
