Disney+ Vs Netflix: Which Is Better?

3. The Future

Disney Plus Vs Netflix
Netflix

Regardless of how long your service has been around or how great things are at the moment, the next step is always essential. Where is your platform going?

Disney+ has only recently joined the ever growing list of stream services, whereas Netflix is a long-time veteran, and yet the future of each platform is equally as important. Disney's developing a brand, a platform in which they can promote their own products AND ensure millions of monthly subscriptions. At the same time, Netflix is trying to further its influence within the entertainment world, both in reputation and when it comes to awards consideration.

Right now, all of Disney+'s major exclusive shows take place in either the Star Wars or Marvel Cinematic Universe. A solid pair of franchises to invest in, but once again, the lack of variety does hamper some of that excitement, especially when the company has a wealth of potential IPs to use. Netflix, meanwhile, has enjoyed something of a resurgence as of late, putting out massive successes like The Witcher and Tiger King.

They're not resting either, further continuing to produce extremely promising projects that could be built upon for years.

With the likes of the Resident Evil series, Witcher's second season, and Space Force (created by The Office showrunner Greg Daniels and Steve Carrell), the future for Netflix remains the most expansive and wide-reaching - at least for now.
