Doctor Strange 2: 10 Multiverse Cameos That Would Break The Internet

3. Ryan Reynolds As Deadpool

Deadpool Movie
20th Century Studios

In a movie that's bound to be a rather surreal, meta experience, who better to appear than the fourth-wall-smashing Deadpool?

Unlike Stewart and McKellen's characters, we know for a fact that Reynolds' Deadpool has survived Disney's takeover of Fox - the only two questions remaining are when we'll see him return, and where we'll see him return.

We also know that a third Deadpool movie is in the works, but for a character who doesn't need to play by the rules, doesn't that feel a little... predictable? Wouldn't it be perfectly on-brand for Deadpool to crash Doctor Strange's party first? Maybe he could even use that time to announce that his next solo movie is coming, before dipping out of frame with a signature Reynolds quip.

Though Marvel Studios does need to be careful to not hurt the "realism" of the MCU with a self-aware character like Deadpool, Multiverse Of Madness is one of those rare occasions where you can just drop him in - where you can get away with incorporating some of Deadpool's, well, madness.

Plus, just imagine the cheers that would ripple through opening night crowds.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
