Doctor Strange 3: 10 Characters Who Could Be The Main Villain

7. Imperator

Ironically, one of Doctor Strange's deadliest enemies harbours no magical skills whatsoever. In fact, this enemy, The Imperator, refuses to use magic since he despises the supernatural more than anyone.

In his reality, his people were dogmatic monks who performed blood rituals to appease their deity, Shuma Gorath. Because the dark arts was integral to his world's way of life, science was regarded as evil. So, when his parents were caught practising science, they were executed for heresy. To honour his family, the Imperator became the greatest scientist in existence, and vowed to eradicate magic from reality.

Although he's really powerful, you'd assume he'd be no match for Doctor Strange. After all, even the greatest weapons can't hold a candle against the Sorcerer Supreme, right?

But the Imperator's tech is beyond anything Strange has faced. By harnessing the power of comets, supernovas, quantum energy, and supermassive black holes, the super-scientist can hold his own against anyone.

On top of that, his technology can nullify magical energy, depriving Strange of his powers.

Because we're used to seeing Strange dominating his enemies with his magical skills, it would be a neat twist to see him use his wits against The Imperator, since there's no other way to defeat him.
