Doctor Strange 3: 10 Characters Who Could Be The Main Villain
4. Clea
In the comics, Strange ventured to The Dark Dimension to destroy Dormammu, only to discover a beautiful silver-haired woman called Clea. When she was revealed to be Dormammu's niece, it seemed like she and Strange were destined to become enemies. However, she fell in love with Strange, and swore to aid him in destroying her demonic uncle.
Because of her dark heritage, Clea can be easily corrupted and has been at odds with Strange several times. Nevertheless, she's regarded as one of his most trusted allies, as well as his central love interest. (She also succeeded him as the Sorcerer Supreme when Strange died.)
So, when she appeared in the post-credits scene of the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans weren't that surprised. Since she's a fundamental part of Strange's history, her incorporation into the Marvel Cinematic Universe was inevitable.
Although she comes to the doctor as a friend, things may not be how they seem. As we should be painfully aware of, the MCU has a habit of pulling the rug from under us. And as we saw with the Scarlet Witch, Marvel aren't afraid of turning characters who are perceived as superheroes into supervillains. Because of this, don't be too surprised if Doctor Strange 3 reveals Clea is using the good doctor for her own malevolent schemes.
