Doctor Strange - 6 Major Reveals From The First Official Images

2. Getting The Movements Just Right

One of the most interesting behind the scenes reveals to come out of Avengers: Age of Ultron was the fact that Elizabeth Olsen has worked with a dancer to get Scarlet Witch's movements just right. While Benedict Cumberbatch isn't brushing up on those skills just yet, it does sound as if the actor is putting a lot of effort into perfecting the way the Sorcerer Supreme performs his many spells. "It was like, okay, I€™ve got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things, everything he does physically," Cumberbatch explains. "I€™m thinking, there€™s going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning of that finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I€™m still working on that. These gestures are ways of creating the magic. It€™s a beautiful thing, it€™s balletic, it€™s very dynamic." "And once the boys in the backroom get to work on it," he continues, "there€™s going to be crazy sh*t going on." So, that sounds pretty much perfect then! The visuals in images like the ones in this feature have made it clear that Doctor Strange is going to be a very trippy movie, but the actor finished by promising that we'll get plenty of same great action scenes we're used to from these Marvel movies. "There€™s all sorts of craziness . Falling, flying, jumping, fighting, punching, getting punched. It€™s really rough and tumble!"
