Doctor Strange: 7 Post-Credits Scenes They Should Have Used

2. A New Infinity Stone Is Revealed

See that golden amulet around Strange's neck? That's the Eye of Agamotto, a powerful relic that in the comics, is used by Strange to counteract evil magic.

But in the MCU, is there more to it than meets the eye?

At the centre of the relic is a bright green jewel, which incidentally, is the colour of one of the Infinity Stones that hasn't been revealed yet. Given Doctor Strange's trippy subject matter, all signs point to this actually being the Time Stone, and if this fact isn't revealed during the film's main runtime, it would have made a glorious post-credits reveal.

Since this is Doctor Strange's very first outing (and the very first time that a lot of people will be exposed to him), the movie itself would be wise to avoid any clunky Infinity Stones/wider-MCU exposition, and instead focus on telling a great story that's completely centred on the character. A scene dedicated to the Stones would have been best used after the credits, to de-clutter the plot and ensure it doesn't get too bogged down in universe-building (looking at you, Iron Man 2).

Besides, this is the kind of reveal that post-credits scenes are made for - die-hard fans tend to be the primary group who stick around to the very end, and aren't all these clues about the Stones moments that only die-hard fans will appreciate?
