Doctor Strange: 9 Reasons It's The Weirdest Marvel Movie Ever

2. The Cloak Of Levitation

Who is the best character in Doctor Strange? Sure, Cumberbatch's Sorcerer is charming-yet-arrogant, funny, brilliant, otherworldly, and at times a bit of a d*ck; an heir apparent to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark. Benedict Wong's Wong provides some nice moments of levity, and Tilda Swinton is great fun as The Ancient One.

However, if your answer to the above question isn't 'the Cloak of Levitation', then, I'm not gonna say you're wrong (hey, it's your opinion), but I advise you to go watch the movie again.

Because the Cloak is very much a character in its own right. Other Marvel heroes have their chosen apparatus that aids them and enhances their powers, such as Cap's shield and Thor's hammer. But they're just objects. Hugely powerful, yes, and with rules of using them, but objects all the same.

The Cloak, meanwhile, has a mind and personality all of its own. It brings hilarity, it kicks ass, it helps save the day. It's so much more than just a fashion choice, and has more in common with Aladdin's magic carpet than it does Mjolnir.
