Doctor Strange Film: 6 (Attainable) Directors Marvel Should Consider

2. David Yates

Responsible For: The last 4 Harry Potter films Why He'd Be Great: Not only would Marvel be grabbing WB's franchise golden-boy, but they'd find an expert director to match the tone and sensationalism (and special effects) with Dr. Strange. That, and since Yates worked with both Steve Kloves and J.K. Rowling to provide a cinematic adaptation, he knows how to work with higher-ups and studios to deliver what needs to be said in a feature film (and knowing when to split a movie in two, as we now regret with Hunger Games and Twilight). A Dr. Strange film would pretty much be a walk in the park for Yates, as the cast is no longer an ensemble, and the set pieces need not be as large as Hogwarts. Still. No slacking off.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
