Doctor Strange Film: 6 (Attainable) Directors Marvel Should Consider

1. Andrew Adamson

Responsible For: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Shrek, Shrek 2 Why He'd Be Great: There are so many things working in Adamson's favor, it's not even funny. First, he's responsible for the best animated Dreamworks films to come out of the studio. Second, he's already worked with Disney, very successfully, with The Chronicles of Narnia. Thirdly, he's a director willing to stick with a franchise for at least two films. Fourthly, he knows how to both adapt long-standing works of fiction and create something original and provide a sequel better than the first film. Fifthly, his expert, visual eye leads to beautiful frames like this whole, damn trailer. Sixthly, he's working with real 3D shooting, and not conversion. He's a conglomeration of all the directors before him on this list and he's ripe for the picking. Let's not forget, also, that he's an animation director coming into live-action, which provides some fantastic visual eye pieces (look at Brad Bird, Andrew Stanton, Seth McFarlane) that many directors who have never done animation are somewhat blind to. Truly. Could a director be better for a film? Oh, wait. He's also working with a producer who seems to know what he's doing, too.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
