Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: 10 HUGE Missed Opportunities

8. The Trailers Gave Away Far Too Much

Unfortunately, there was a distinct lack of spine-tingling moments throughout the two hours of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Of course, there were the two big ones, with Reed Richards and Professor X both appearing, but even the latter had already been spoiled in the trailers.

Seriously, why would Marvel Studios do such a thing? As the follow-up to No Way Home, there was never any doubt that the Multiverse of Madness would sell tickets, why did they feel the need to ruin what would have been one of the biggest shocks in MCU history?

Fans have been waiting for mutants to join the franchise for years, and when one of the X-Men finally makes the jump, you spoil it. This would have been on the same level as showing Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire in the No Way Home trailers.

This wasn’t even all that was spoiled either. From zombie Strange, to the corrupted Strange, the Illuminati in general, and so much more, the trailers actually left very little for fans to genuinely be surprised about while in the cinema itself.
