In December of last year, Spider-Man: No Way Home brought together the MCU’s Spider-Man, Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man, and Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man all in one movie. However, that doesn’t account for all previous Spidey franchises, does it?

Arguably one of the best Spider-Man movies of recent years didn’t even revolve around Peter Parker, but instead put Miles Morales center stage. Living in the Ultimate Universe in the comics, No Way Home would have been the perfect place to bring him into the MCU.

When this didn’t happen, there was at least the potential for Doctor Strange to visit the Spider-Verse in the midst of all his multiversal madness. He and America did briefly visit a cartoon universe, so why not make an official crossover with the animated movie?

This didn’t even need to be a real crossover, at least not to the extent that No Way Home was. All that would have been needed was a hint at the animated Spider-Verse that took the comic book movie genre by storm in 2018, and fans would have lost their minds.
