4. Black Bolt
Black Bolt has arrived on the big screen for the first time. Anson Mount, who played Black Bolt in the failed Inhumans series has returned to the role, leaving even more questions about the TV series’ status as canon. This time Anson Mount is wearing a comic-accurate costume complete with the tuning fork on his head, and the cloth that connects under his arm to his waist used for gliding.
In terms of raw physical force, Black Bolt might be the most powerful Illuminati. With a word, he can turn anyone into dust. Presumably, his voice can shatter planets the same way as in the comics.
In the flashback sequence, he is the one that executed their world’s version of Doctor Strange just by opening his mouth and talking.
If he has any opportunity to open his mouth, he could have killed Wanda instantly. Wanda anticipated this and made his mouth disappear with magic. When Black Bolt forced himself to speak, the pressure buildup inside his head, causing his head to explode. This makes for the most brutal death in MCU history and the first death of The Illuminati at the hands of The Scarlet Witch.
