Doctor Strange: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
6. Wong
Massive bonus points to Marvel for reclaiming Wong from the rather unfortunate way he was presented in the comics: there's no way an actual caricatured man servant would really fly in the modern MCU, but they could have still made him just a fool.
Instead they turned the long-term Strange sidekick into a legitimate bad-ass capable of great feats of martial arts and also wielding strong magical artefacts. He was deemed powerful enough and capable enough to guard the library after Kaecilius had already robbed it, so he was clearly no slouch, and while Strange's deception of him while he listened to Beyonce was a little reductive to his mythology, he was definitely a good character.
Mercifully, there's already promise that he's going to return too, and you'd have to suspect that he would do so as a sidekick rather than a servant to Strange. There's definitely a lot more to see in their dynamic.
