Another classic that hopefully hasn't been too tainted by a previous sub-par adaptation, the life of Dredd's clone "brother" Rico is tragically different to that of Mega-City One's premier lawman. Even if you wanna skip over the whole "clone" thing - not really grounded enough, bit too Star Wars prequel - then Rico could just be Dredd's biological brother. Who is really, really different to Dredd. Besides having a totally messed up face, Rico was different to Dredd because he follows a very different paths. Initially his brother's superior in almost every way as they make their way through the Academy, Rico goes off the rails after a mission gone wrong in the Cursed Earth, getting involved with all the usual things dirty cops get up to, eventually having to be taken down (and again after he breaks out of prison) by that very same bro. A good way to give the stoic Dredd a bit of backstory in the sequel, letting the audience and Anderson a little closer to man behind the helmet/chin.
