Each Member Of The Fellowship Of The Ring Ranked Worst To Best
5. Frodo Baggins
Elijah Wood was a fantastic choice for the role of Frodo Baggins, and the character is an iconic lead. Frodo finds out early in the series that the ring is his responsibility, and he knows the danger that he will be put in. It seems wrong to have the lead of the series, and the bearer of the ring rank so low on the list, unfortunately, Frodo is not the shining hero that he should be.
It makes the series far more compelling to have a flawed hero. However, there are many moments in which it seems the mission is not moving onward in the journey, but babysitting Frodo as he continuously makes poor choices and mistakes.
Frodo is brave and courageous, but he is not a fighter or a worker, and it's clear from the beginning that was the ring not tied to his fate, he would be a character of little merit within the fellowship.
