Edgar Wright: The Definitive Guide To Homages, Influences And References

The World's End - The Trusty Servant The fifth pub on the crawl is called The Trusty Servant, which is an obvious reference to the collaborators we find in the pub, the only humans in the whole town who have remained human because they€™ve chosen to serve The Network. There are three collaborators overall €“ with two going unnamed and the other being Gary€™s old drug dealer the Reverend Green, and this can be foreshadowed on the pub board, which has three figures, the central one of which looks very Michael Smiley-esque. They are clearly trusted, and Green only ends up being called in for mulching after he betrays his supervisor by telling Gary what is in fact going on.
