Edgar Wright: The Definitive Guide To Homages, Influences And References

sodz For a relatively low-budget film, Shaun of the Dead managed to pull a hell of a lot of zombies on screen. Well, there€™s a reason for this €“ they followed how Romero paid his extras. On the sets of Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead, the horror master paid every zombie a dollar. As a homage to this, Wright paid all the non-featured zombie extras £1 for every day of filming. Of course, you may not think this would be enough to entice extras through the door, but Wright had a plan for it €“ he recruited through the website Spaced Out, the fansite for Spaced. Frankly, it€™s a great use of resources and probably a real boon for the fans as well.
