Edgar Wright: The Definitive Guide To Homages, Influences And References

During the Universal credits logo, the tune €˜Figment€™ by S. Park can be heard in the background. This music was used during the airport scene in Romero€™s Day of the Dead. In fact, the film uses several of the original music scores from Romero€™s work €“ when Shaun and Ed are figuring out their plan to save Barbara and Liz, we can hear €˜Zombi€™ by Goblin. This was used genre classic Dawn of the Dead. Of course, it€™s not quite the same, but when Shaun rides the bus into work, the young man in front of him is listening to dancefloor classic €˜Zombie Nation€™ by Kernkraft 4000, fitting in with the drone-like existence of modern city-living and obviously, what€™s to come.
