4. Lydia Mercer - Man On A Ledge
Man On A Ledge is yet another forgettable star vehicle from would be A-lister Sam Worthington. Its a dull thriller with lots of silly twists, which wastes Banks in the role of a cop investigating why Worthington stepped out onto a ledge. By the end of the film shell wish she hadnt bothered. So will the audience. While its a fun novelty to see Banks playing a tough cop, she doesnt manage to convince in the part. She looks out of place barking orders into a walkie-talkie or threatening someone with a gun, while the part itself is the cliché good cop looking for redemption thats been done and done much better in other thrillers. While she definitely gives the role her best shot, shes utterly miscast in what would have already been a forgettable role for a more suitable actor.
