Eragon star now works as a Bricklayer in East Sussex!!!

ed_speleers.jpgWow, 19 year old Ed Speelers has really come crashing down to Earth after leading the critically panned but financially successful Eragon. British newspaper The Sun are reporting (and have a picture which you have to click here to see because they copyrighted it) that Speelers is now working for £7 a hour as a labourer building a Morrisons store in East Sussex! In typical The Sun fashion, they have a quote from an unnamed "fellow brick worker"... €œIt€™s a far cry from the red carpet. Edward is very much the brickie when he is here. €œHe€™s chiselling walls and puffing cigs in a hard hat and fluorescent jacket. He€™s a nice, down-to-earth lad.€ You may remember the lad was given the job of appearing in Eragon after winning a competition, beating out 18,000 other hopefuls for the lead role. The story goes on to say that he has reading some scripts and having some interviews but he has no future roles as yet lined up, so he might as well make some honest money on the side. Fair play to the lad is what I say. He's obviously sensible and still level headed after leading such a massive movie and has wasted no time in earning some cash as the critics were universal in being negative of his performance. I still haven't seen Eragon yet, nor do I want to really.... but has this guy got what it takes to be an actor in Hollywood or are we destined to never see him on screen again? source - the sun, dark horizons
