Escape From New York Remake: 10 Actors Who Should Play Snake Plissken

If Norman Reedus never has to kill another zombie he’ll doubtless be thankful, but before he follows Jon Bernthal’s lead and starts working with Martin Scorsese, let’s see him play another grizzled loner who shoots first and asks questions later.

Like Darryl Dixon, Plissken is a force of nature, a survivor whose androgynous name belies his skill with weapons. He looks like he eats roadkill, and probably thinks Boba Fett is an Italian cheese, but you’d think twice before saying that to his face.

Also like Darryl, Plissken is not the type given to contemplating The Meaning Of It All. After being double-crossed, his idea of “working things out” usually involves sharp implements delivered straight to the cranium. What’s left of New York is his for the taking.
