Eternals: 9 HUGE Questions For MCU's Future

3. Could There Be A Connection Between Eternals & Adam Warlock?

Before Starfox stepped through the darkness to reveal himself, he was preceded by none other than Pip the Troll, voiced by Patton Oswald and brought to life on screen by some of the worst CGI in the long history of the MCU.

While much of the attention rightly went to Harry Styles’ portrayal of Thanos’ brother, Pip is also an intriguing character in his own right. He had a role to play in the source material’s original Infinity Gauntlet story arc, has wielded the Power Stone, and has the ability of transportation which he has already shown in the MCU. He is also synonymous with another powerful character set to appear in the MCU over the next few years.

It could be that Pip’s relationship and travels with Adam Warlock in the comics have partly inspired his pairing with Eros on the big screen, with Harry Styles' character acting as somewhat of a replacement for Will Poulter's, but could it be that his first appearance in Eternals will lead to more partnerships with cosmic heavy hitters in the future?

With the exception of several nods to Thanos and the Stones, the blip, and one mention of Doctor Strange’s name, Eternals functioned as a completely standalone movie with no ties or connections to the wider universe. As strange as it would be, could Pip be the key to linking this movie with one of the MCU’s most cosmic franchises in the Guardians of the Galaxy?
