4. How Much Of The Eternals' Story Does Eros Know?
The Eternals were created by the Celestials in an effort to rid worlds of the Deviants, also created by the Celestials. This was to allow population to grow large enough to trigger the emergence, a world ending event where a new Celestial is born, bursting forth from the centre of the planet.
Once the job of the Eternals has been completed, they are brought back, they have their memories erased, and are sent to another world all over again. However, Earth’s Eternals, thanks to a fault in Thena’s memory tampering and Sersi’s transparency with her fellow aliens, learned the truth and sought to save the world.
This isn’t typical of an Eternal’s life cycle. Generally, they don’t know the full extent and purpose of their existence, and aren’t permitted to leave their planet until they instructed to come home. With that in mind, how is it possible that Eros can freely wander the universe with Pip, and does he know the true extent of their situation?
Druig asked Makkari if she thought the other Eternals would take the truth as well as they did, but does Eros already know it, and possibly more of it than they? The dynamic immediately seems as though Thena and co. won’t be the ones doing the explaining to Pip and Starfox.
