Eternals: Every Character Ranked From Worst To Best
2. Druig
Druig has a fascinating dilemma not entirely unlike Phastos, in that he has to constantly second-guess how to use his powers and for what purpose.
Druig is able to manipulate the minds of others, and constantly wrestles with his desire to use his powers to basically protect humanity from its own self-destructive tendencies.
Barry Keoghan conveys the struggle aptly through his understated performance. Seeing Druig effectively operating as a cult leader in the present day, living with a civilisation of mind-controlled people in the Amazon jungle, is amusingly off-kilter.
On top of this, his romantic chemistry with Makkari is a real highlight, and it's a genuine surprise he survives the final battle considering he's an undeniably "lesser" Eternal.
Druig also gets a few bonus points for knocking out Sprite with a rock at the end of her otherwise stirring third act villain monologue.
