Every 2018 Comic Book Movie Ranked Worst To Best

16. Accident Man

Starring Scott Adkins - best known as the man who played Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynolds - is an odd little revenge actioner based on characters created by Pat Mills and Tony Skinner.

Following Adkins John Wick/Punisher-influenced hitman seeking vengeance, it's charming enough and surprising entertaining and funny in parts. Looking at it, you'd probably not expect a great deal from it, but it's certainly not without merit - particularly in terms of shedding light on Adkins, who is actually great.

15. Venom

Before Aquaman was released, Venom was far-and-away the most bat-sh*t comic book movie of the year. Unfortunately, it was also only half-good, with Tom Hardy's delightful, outrageous twin performance as Eddie Brock and Venom the only real stand-out.

Everything else was just painfully boring in comparison. The story felt recycled and obvious, the villains were mostly just one-dimensional or cliched and some of the dialogue was so dumb you'd welcome someone ripping your limbs off and letting you float down the street like a turd.

If there's a sequel, it should focus more on trying to be like Deadpool, rather than trying to be like Spawn.
