Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked By How Punchable Adam Sandler Is
19. Going Overboard
A baby-faced Adam Sandler starred in this very schlocky picture two years before he broke out as a cast member of Saturday Night Live. In it, he plays a cruise ship waiter with big ambitions of becoming the ship's resident comic.
Unlike his real life story, which loosely mirrors his aspirations to land a gig on SNL, the end result here is not what you'd call classic comedy.
To say that Sandler was still "honing his craft" is a bit of an understatement. The guy's greener than Bruce Banner in rush hour traffic. But the good thing about watching him struggle through this cheap little comedy is that you realize he wasn't always a sure bet at the box office. And, not for nothing, the guy really has matured as a performer.
Punch Level: A hefty slug to the arm. And maybe a few extra knocks to the back of the head just for fun.
