Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked By How Punchable Adam Sandler Is
17. Big Daddy
If you're still struggling to see Adam Sandler as a father in the real world, that's more than understandable. Part of me still wonders if the guy routinely wears adult diapers on the weekends just so he doesn't have to get up off the couch.
But in this (admittedly generic) heartwarmer, despite all rational thought screaming otherwise, Sandler's portrayal of a sudden pseudo-dad is actually pretty damn sweet. Sure, the things he does when "caring" for not-his child might border on neglect or even reckless endangerment, but he's really just doing what he thinks qualifies as great parenting.
Things get a little weepier than they need to at the end, but otherwise Big Daddy is one of Sandler's most undeservedly hated vehicles.
Punch Level: Just one sturdy sock to the gut when he trips that innocent rollerblader and laughs way too hard about it.
