Despite what you might have heard from critics, Grown Ups is actually a very enjoyable movie, so long as you can distance what you see on screen from the fact that Sandler only made the movie so he and his friends could go on an all-expenses-paid vacation for the duration of filming.

It's this behind-the-scenes knowledge that makes people ball up their fists in outrage. The very idea of him "earning" a lucrative paycheck to go on vacation - and then charge us to watch it - makes it more than a little difficult not to imagine his face as a punching bag.

But just take a step back, take a deep breath, and enjoy the fact that Sandler doesn't employ a fat suit once during the entire runtime. Not. Once. And everyone's obviously having a great time making it, which is a little infectious.
