Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked By How Punchable Adam Sandler Is

15. The Wedding Singer

Adam Sandler Punch Happy Gilmore
New Line Cinema

You might want to, as Sandler himself intones, strangle him with a microphone wire during his onstage meltdown at the end of The Wedding Singer's first act. But this version of him - the disheveled, whiny, pot-stirrer - is largely absent from the bulk of this sweet, but not-altogether-gentle romantic comedy.

It's pretty much the ideal Adam Sandler movie. It has moments of depth, scenes of gut-busting violence, and best of all, five minutes of drunken Steve Buscemi.

And it doesn't hurt that his character, Robbie Hart, is one of the most charmingly down-on-his-luck average joes Sandler has ever played. Which is saying a lot, considering that's pretty much the only kind of character he plays.

Punch Level: A brief buffet of knuckles, but only for a few choice minutes.
