Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked Worst To Best
18. The Week Of (2018)
Sandler's Netflix movies have been a mess to say the least, but they've also, even at their absolute worst, been quite ambitious, and the flawed but powerfully performed The Week Of might be the most daring entry in the canon.
Cast as a caring father who tries to give his daughter a great wedding with awkward results, the energetic comedy-drama is ultimately an ensemble piece that never comes together because there's too many balls in the air, but Sandler grounds it with the most understated (and underrated ) performance of his career.
Clearly a labour of love, brought to life by something noticeably deep and personal, The Week Of is a great film trapped in a mediocre one, but one that Sandler -- weepy, stuck, unhandy -- holds together all the same.
