Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked Worst To Best
19. Bedtime Stories (2008)
There is a lot wrong with Bedtime Stories, from the overbearing presence of Rob Schneider (always there, lurking, ready to be the most unamusing comedian alive) and Russell Brand to its stilted romance, but it's also quite wonderful.
This is Sandler at his most loving and family-friendly, cast as a hotel handyman who has the power to influence his life through the stories he tells his niece and nephew. This premise allows him to be his most childish, but also his most endearing, as he learns (duh) there's more to life than riches and glamour.
Amusing and sweet, gross and big-hearted, Bedtime Stories may be immature and obvious, but hell if Sandler has ever been quite this warm and inviting.
