Every Adam Sandler Movie Ranked Worst To Best
6. Hustle (2022)
Call it a passion project: A long-time basketball fan, Sandler is at his most personal in Hustle, a bristling sports drama in which he portrays a downtrodden NBA scout who encounters a hot new talent and must prepare him for the draft.
As far as sports films go, Hustle doesn't do much new, following a volatile star (real-life basketball player Juancho Hernangómez) who learns to reign in it and realise his potential, but Sandler's quietly devastating turn as a good man unwilling to succumb to hard luck is truly enrapturing.
Between his rapport with Hernangómez and boundless energy, which finds him equally tragic, scrappy and decidedly charming, this is a Sandler performance that elevates an already brilliant film into a genuinely great one.
