Every American Pie Movie Ranked Worst To Best
6. American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile
When the second spin-off title came along in 2006, it became clear that this was the direction the series would be heading. While the Stifler name didn't yet feel like flogging a dead horse, it began to lose its magic. Still, despite many of its problems, there are some exciting plus points for The Naked Mile.
The movie follows Erik Stifler, the cousin of Steve and Matt. But, he's a different breed of Stifler, as Erik is still a virgin, as his girlfriend isn't ready to have sex yet. To quell his lustfulness, she lets him have a free pass to do whatever he wants. He uses this to visit his cousin Dwight Stifler at college to run a mile naked.
There was a slightly more thoughtful approach to this movie. The dynamic between Erik Stifler and his girlfriend was interesting and played with some compelling ideas of waiting to be ready for sex and jealously. Plus, it painted the picture that not all Stifler's had to be obnoxious jerks.
Additionally, the free pass and naked mile concepts were an interesting set-up. However, the film's focus - again - on gross-out humour, and overtly sexual tones made it feel shallow and cheap. Plus, the slew of little person jokes are very uncomfortable to look back on.
