Every American Pie Movie Ranked Worst To Best

3. American Reunion

After a long stretch of American Pie movies with no tangible connection to the main cast, it felt like their ship might have sailed. But, this reunion movie did a solid job of bringing them back and shifting the focus of the series, if a little too much.

As might be evident from the film's title, this sequel picks up decades after the original and sees as each of the original cast members return to their hometown in preparation for their upcoming high-school school reunion.

The biggest drawback of the movie is the age of the leading characters. While seeing the original cast return - including Chris Klein as Oz, who missed out on the last one - was exciting, it also brought a host of issues, as the gross-out juvenile humour felt out of place with the older characters.

But looking past that, you got an exciting comedy about people holding onto the past and a great chance to see where life had taken them. There were also some great comedy moments, such as the turmoil between the MILF guys and some brilliant call-backs to the original movies that walked the line between forced and nostalgic well.

As far as reunion movies go, this one wasn't too shabby.
