Every Avenger's Best Performance OUTSIDE The MCU

15. Chris Pratt - Passengers

Chris Pratt: the extremely funny, charming and handsome Hollywood star, has kept audience' attention for years playing the lovable Andy Dwyer in Parks & Recreation.

His transition to movies has been hit or miss - Movie 43, Delivery Man and Jennifer's Body could all fit in the box marked "tediously stupid". But his leap into big-budget leading roles like Jurassic World, The Lego Movie and of course Guardians of the Galaxy, might be what he is most remembered for in the years to come.

His role in the divisive film Passengers might be one of his most challenging performances yet - playing a character who is ultimately a villain, but we're asked to do more than sympathise with is a huge request for a film to ask of its audience.

Pratt works well with the script he's given, and while he doesn't convince us that Jim Preston's actions are justified, he does cast a net of sympathy around the character that warrants a couple extra viewings of the movie to understand the character.

And if nothing else, Pratt proves in this film he can play a very sinister villain hiding in plain sight.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
