Every Batman Movie Villain - Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Riddler (Batman Forever)

Jim Carrey€™s Riddler was the best thing about Joel Schumacher€™s Batman Forever. If you€™re making a Batman movie aimed at children, who better than Ace Ventura: Pet Detective to lead the villainous ranks. Carrey channels his trademarked manic energy into the role, resulting in a performance that feels fun, funny and fitting for the film around it. He might not have much menace, and Batman Forever might not be a movie that many love, but Carrey€™s take on Ed Nygma is humorous enough to elevate the film somewhat. His dialogue often raises a chuckle, particularly when he€™s mocking Tommy Lee Jones€™ dullard Two-Face. The film culminates with Riddler€™s twisted game show where Batman has to choose between his love interest and his sidekick. This is Carrey€™s biggest chance to shine, and he succeeds by ridiculing everyone in sight and showing off his rubber-limbed flexibility. The film might not be great, but it€™d be much worse without Carrey.
