Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

38. Pearl Harbor (2001)

Roger Ebert put it best when he called Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor "a two-hour movie squeezed into three hours, about how on Dec. 7, 1941, the Japanese staged a surprise attack on an American love triangle."

Though Bay's war epic touts some spectacular action sequences, the human element is almost entirely terrible, and that's unfortunately the part that of course comprises Affleck's dopey love triangle alongside Kate Beckinsale and Josh Hartnett.

This was Bay's transparent attempt to deliver his own Titanic, and outside of the mesmerising war scenes, it just doesn't add up to much that's even basically emotionally gratifying.

Unfortunately for Affleck, it also spawned the infamous Team America lyric, "I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school. He was terrible in that film."
