Every Ben Affleck Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
37. To The Wonder (2012)
Terrence Malick's follow-up to The Tree of Life, released the very next year, feels like a self-parody of a Malick film, filled with beautiful visuals, flowery breathy voiceover, endless scenes of people twirling around on the spot, and a vague narrative.
Affleck stars as an American man who falls in love with a Ukranian woman (Olga Kurylenko) while travelling in Europe, yet beyond Emmanuel Lubezki's undeniably gorgeous cinematography, this is an empty vessel of a movie - a superficial excursion at best and perhaps Malick's single most forgettable film.
It's certainly not a stain on Affleck's filmography, though, especially considering so few will even remember he was in it.
